| Title of Project: Mr. Clean Mouth (Shoebox) by Baily Busby Purpose of the Project: This shoebox is a model of a mouth to teach students the correct way to brush and floss their teeth. Description of the Project: This is a shoebox that is a model of a mouth for students to practice brushing and flossing teeth the correct way. I have simply cut out teeth using a box cutter and white paint to paint the teeth white. CSHE Area that this project aligns with: Physical Activity and Personal Health GLE(s): ME1A2: Identify and show good oral hygiene (e.g. brushing, flossing, dental exams) Developmentally appropriate grade or grade-range: K-2 Equipment/Items needed to make this project: 1 shoebox with lid attached on one side, black puff or fabric paint, white acrylic paint, toothbrush, sponge brush, white yarn for floss Specific directions: 1. Use box cutter to cut teeth in the lid and lower part of the box for bottom teeth. 2. Paint the teeth cut outs white using white acrylic paint and a sponge/paintbrush 3. Paint "Mr. Clean Mouth" on the top of the box with black puff/fabric paint. 4. Place toothbrush and yarn for brushing and flossing in shoebox for storage.
