| Title of Project: Food Group Game: Where Does It Go? by Ashley Purpose of the Project: Identify where food goes on the food pyramid. Description of the Project: Food pyramid with Velcro, you have to match the food to the right spot on the food pyramid. CSHE Area that this project aligns with: Nutrition GLE(s): ME2A1: Recognize that food fits into different groups and that different amounts are needed from each food group. Developmentally appropriate grade or grade-range: 1st-2nd Equipment/Items needed to make this project: Saber saw, table saw, marine plywood, paint, painter's tape, velcro, laminated food picture Specific directions: 1. I cut out the triangle with a saber saw. 2. I mounted legs so it could stand. 3. I painted each section and used painter's tape (it takes a lot of coats). 4. I used two Velcro pieces per food group and laminated different food items for them to Velcro on the board.
