Unit 1: Establishing a Classroom Community
Mini-lessons are short lessons (10-30 minutes) used to teach
important literacy skills to students.  The mini-lessons follow a
basic format: anticipatory set, modeling, guided practice,
independent practice, and assessment/closure.  Teachers model
a skill, students practice the skill with support, and then practice
